Regional Center for Digital and Bio Technologies

As part of the project, "Innovative Hub for Digitization and Biotechnology in Agriculture" "Institute for Precision Agriculture" plans to open its first "Regional Center for Digital and Bio-Technologies" in the village of Doyrentsi, region. Lovech, in September 2020.

The following “Modular Directions” will be located in the Center:

1. Situation Center (Monitoring Module):

"Institute of Precision Agriculture" creates the first of its kind "Situational Center" for agriculture, has no analogue in the world. Equipped with the most modern machinery and equipment, the center will collect and analyze all input data with the help of modern information, analytical and technological tools in real time. The data will come from operational activities, equipment, satellites, UAVs, cameras, public pads and other open and licensed resources. All our users will be able to take advantage of the following opportunities:

  • monitoring the condition of the monitored sites by forecasting the development of situations, based on the analysis of incoming information;
  • monitoring and assessment of the impact of external influences on the objects of management;
  • modeling the results of management decisions based on the use of information and analytical systems;
  • expert evaluation of the decisions taken and their optimization;
  • managing any type of situation;
  • automatic management of set parameters and identification of possible results;
  • accumulation in the information-analytical system of management experience;
  • individual turnkey solutions for each activity at the request of the user;
  • possibility for independent modeling of situations;

A professional team will monitor and manage the processes non-stop, to help all our users.

2. Agro Laboratory. chem. Analysis:

To help its users, the Institute of Precision Agriculture creates and equips a laboratory for agrochemical analysis with the most modern equipment. The laboratory will employ professional scientists and will have mobile groups for collecting soil, plant and other samples. The information from the conducted analyzes will automatically enter the "Personal Cabinet" of the user, which will allow the fast processing of the analytical and technological tools and programs in real time.

  • Phytomonitoring of plants - control of processes in plant development;
  • Agrochemical analysis - analysis of the soil for nutrient content;
  • Phytopathological analysis - determination of pathogens in plants, seeds and soil;
  • Entomological research - Microscopic determination of small pests;
  • Agrochemical maintenance - Agro control of production on the farm from soil preparation to harvest;
  • Tissue diagnostics - Determining the number of nutrients in plants during the growing season;
  • Helminthological analysis - Determination of infestation by nematodes on seeds and soils;

For all users, the soil analysis will be completely free - determination of the content of available forms of macronutrients (P2O5, K2O), soil acidity (pH, aqueous, physiological solution, hydrolytic), content of humus, easily hydrolyzed nitrogen. Determination of the salt composition of the aqueous extract (chlorides, sulphates, carbonates ...). Determination of metabolic calcium and metabolic magnesium, mobile sulfur, soil electrical conductivity. All other analyzes for users will have a 10% or 20% discount depending on the membership status.

3. Entomophagous breeding laboratory

The Institute of Precision Agriculture together with its leading partner, Agronomika, Ukraine, is building the only laboratory in the Balkans for bioprotection and reproduction of entomophagous - Trichogramma, Chrysopa carnea, Habrobracon Say) and others.

4. Bio laboratory plant module

"Institute of Precision Agriculture" together with its scientific partners from Ukraine, creates its own organic plant laboratory which will provide its users with a brand new type of seedlings created by "in vitro" technology. "In vitro" cultures are the cultivation of plant cells and tissues on an artificial nutrient medium under absolutely sterile conditions in the presence of certain factors (light, temperature, humidity, photoperiod). Clonal micropropagation of plants is vegetative propagation in "in vitro" culture, which is based on the phenomenon of totipotency (the ability to store and update the genetic information of an individual plant) The use of "in vitro" technology for treatment and propagation of plants allows to obtain qualitatively new seedlings with the following advantages:

  • Absolutely healthy seedlings, without internal and external infections caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi, helminths, mycoplasmas, etc.
  • Growing special substrates without contact with the soil;
  • The field survival guarantee is 100% (fixed in the Seedling Supply Agreement);
  • Significantly accelerated plant growth, intensive and even development;
  • Complete identity of the variety, as all seedlings are monoclonal from one plant;
  • Increased yield and super quality fruits;
  • Fast onset of fruiting, excellent quality of preservation and transportability of fruits;
  • Absolute temperature resistance in cold and increased resistance to adverse environmental conditions;
  • Planting such plants requires a minimum of plant protection, only prevention;
  • A special (highly developed) in vitro root system is able to accelerate growth and regeneration (recovery) if necessary;
  • reduced planting density (the need for seedlings per unit area is half less);
  • Longevity of the operation of the plantations without reduction of the yield and signs of degeneration of the variety.

5. UAV module

We all know that drones and drones are the most powerful sensor these days. Separately, their mass entry into agriculture and agriculture has long been predicted by all experts and analysts. Unfortunately, the existing models on the market are mainly hobby versions and quite expensive and difficult to operate. The Institute for Precision Agriculture together with international partners created the first professional Unmanned Aerial Detachment. The air force has five different models of drones, with different characteristics and power units, depending on their purpose. As well as three models of drones. All aircraft have unique control software that allows fully automatic operation.
